The Majestic on Davie Street was the place to be for the 2008 Biggs Pride Deck Party. This annual event once again raised money to benefit the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

TELUS is committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we live, work and serve. A cornerstone of this commitment is demonstrated each year by the TELUS team through Dollars for Dollars, our team member charitable giving program. Each fall, TELUS runs the Dollars for Dollars campaign, where TELUS matches team member and retiree charitable donations dollar for dollar. This year, combined with team member & retiree donations, TELUS presented a cheque for over $14,000 benefiting the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation and Dr. Peter Centre.

This spring, the BCIT Association of Integrated Marketers held their 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raising $5,500 for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Art and music activities enable a wide range of outcomes including reductions in client pain and anxiety, improved stress management, and enhanced feelings of control, confidence, and empowerment. In support of the Art & Music Therapy programs, the RBC Foundation has committed $50,000 to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

The Opera Appassionata society held its annual World AIDS Day concerts with proceeds benefiting the Dr. Peter Centre.

In only it's third year, One Day For AIDS has raised over $10,000 for local AIDS organizations. The idea is simple, purchase a day of the year for $30 to help someone with HIV/AIDS. This year more than 70 days were "purchased" for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. That's more than $2,100 that will directly benefit the Dr. Peter Centre. |

The Vancouver Frontrunners 2007 Pride Run, was held in August, and through their member's participation, they were able to bring in over $1600 to benefit the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. |
